The maid had woken me up the next morning and I had felt awfully grumpy. My parents were as boring as ever and my brothers were fencing in the back yard garden when I had wanted solitude and quiet. I had never been so angry in my whole life, I wonder what was aggravating me, I guess the thought of the academy.
    Oh shit the academy I was late by then, I ran to my room from the study and threw on the uniform I had been sent. It seemed to be a bit tight around the chest and hips but I'd complain about it later. I grabbed my bags and rushed out of my room and down to the garage to jump into my ford truck. I had begged my older brother Ryan to allow me to drive his truck, he had finally given in when I told him I would bring my friends over for a sleepover the up coming Friday.
   I pulled out and drove off to the school, I made it within an hour. I half ran half walked to the front desk, Alex leaned against the counter and smiled at me, I blinked and looked at the clock. I wasn't late, I was early.
     "Hey whats the rush?" Alex asked as I approached the counter, I looked at him and shrugged.
     "I thought I was late, guess Hamson forgot to turn the clocks back." I answered and looked forward, the office was empty except for a light in the back.
     "Ha! so the old man finally slipped up." Alex snorted, I laughed at his appraisal of Hamson. In a few short minutes other high school students started arriving, my jaw dropped open to see a large group of boys and girls walk in through the gate. I turned an accusing glare on Alex.
       "Ah so I did forget to tell yah." Alex said and ducked under my fist.
       "Hey! what was that for?!" Alex yelled at me and ducked again.
       "How could you not tell me?! you unforgivable Ass!" I yelled at him still fuming and throwing punches. Alex caught both my fists and leaned in so our heads were close together.
     "Why? you ask, well I wanted to surprise you but I guess this unforgivable ass can't do that without getting you upset." He said with a wide grin. I gave him a softer glare, but still didn't give in.
   "Can yah let my wrists go please?" I asked in an innocent voice, it surprised the hell outta Alex but he still released my wrists. I kissed him on the cheek and turned to look at the office again. A woman was making her way to the front.
    "Ah! um . .Excuse me ma'am, can you help us please? you see we're new here." I asked the woman she nodded and turned o her computer.
    "And your names are?" She asked in a nassally tone.
    "Alexander Asuname the fifth." Alex stated looking around warily. The womans eyes opened and stared at him.
     "And I'm Midna Rosette Zehrina Leshaya Twila Mydnyght the twentieth." I stated with a smile. She paled and bowed to me. I shook my head and Alex laughed.
      "If its alright can you not give us the special treatment?" I asked she nodded and typed on her keyboard, it took her a few minutes but she must have finished printing our schedules. She handed us each a map and our schedules. I smiled and thanked her and Alex and I finally got going to our classes.
    "Hey looks like we're in the ame Advisory and math class." Alex stated.
     "It's not math its science." I corrected.            
     "Whatever, but I think the buildings around the corner." Alex said.
     "Nope, its the next corner." I said proudly, he stared at me in disbelief.
     "What? but you threw your map away." Alex said confused.
    "Photographic memory." I said tapping my temple.
     "Ah, whatever." Alex answered back, We arrived in our first period or what Alex referred to our Advisory class, it was honors English with Mr.Arnold.
    When we walked in I had to take a step back to see if it was the right building.
   "Are you coming or not?" Alex asked me in a sharp whisper, I looked at him with a glare and walked in head held high shoulders parted and back straight.
     "Ah so there you two are, Mr.Asuname take a seat here in front. Ms.Mydnyght please take a seat in the back." Mr.Arnold told us, I tried hard not to laugh as I made my way to the back. I felt like I was in my own personal heaven, books were everywhere on the walls, the desks, even on the ceiling.
    "Alright now like I was saying your book reports are due next week on Friday." Mr.Arnold said, some kids groaned while others grinned, it seemed that half of the kids were geeks and the other were jocks and cheerleaders. I would probably fit in between the two groups, Alex would most likely fit in with the jocks. The reading list that was taped to my desk had been my first grade assignments. I raised my hand and awaited being called on.
   "Yes Ms.Mydnyght?" Mr.Arnold asked.
   "I've already finished all of your reading lists, what do you want me to do?" I asked, everyone gasped in shock, well except Alex and Mr.Arnold.
   "Well I guess you'll have to go into Mr.Asuname's classroom." Mr.Arnold said.
   "Okay, do you want me to transfer my things there now or do you want me to stay here?" I asked looking at him.
   "You may leave to Mr.Asuname's room now if you'd like."
   "Okay, see yah Alex." I said as I left the room. I saw him wink before Mr.Arnold scowled at him with a frosty glare. I laughed on my way through the halls to Alex's brothers classroom. I arrived there in about two minutes, I slid the door open and stepped in. Alex's brother,Ronald, was startled to see me open the door. He walked over to me and whispered into my ear.
   "Just can't stay away can yah Mid.?" Ronald teased, my cheeks turned red and I was about to slap him when Mr.Arnold opened the door.
   "Mr.Asuname, Ms.Mydnyght is going to be transferring to your English class." Arnold (Mr.Arnold) announced almost loud enough for the other students to hear.
   "Ah, so she wasn't here to see me." Ronald said disappointedly.
   "Ronald keep your fantasies to yourself." I said, his cheeks enflamed.
   "Hey you listen here-" Ronald started, I ignored him and found a seat in the back. I looked over at Ronald and stuck out my tongue. I saw him whisper to Arnold, Arnold erupted with laughter. I scowled.
    "Hey, Hey, your a second year aren't you?" Some boy in the seat next to me whispered. I nodded and listened intently to what Ronald was saying. Something in French about some famous author.
Class ended with hundreds of whispers from the boy next to me, I either nodded yes or shook my head no for my answer.
